SUPERVISORY PRACTICES AND PROCEDURES IN LEAD ABATEMENT (40 HOURS)*

Required training in the residential lead abatement field. This 40-hour course complies with requirements of Title X, Sec. 1031, Worker Protection, of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1992. Work practices, health effects, lead paint detection methods, and supervisory issues (including liability concerns) are discussed. Students will be expected to pass a state administered exam at the end of the training. MLGH is a D.E.P. Licensed Training Provider (LP-002).

WORK PRACTICES IN LEAD ABATEMENT (32 HOURS)*

Required training in the lead abatement field. This 32-hour course complies with requirements of Title X, Sec. 1031, Worker Protection, of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1992. WORKER AND SUPERVISOR ANNUAL LEAD REFRESHER (8 HOURS)

Required annual refresher of 8 hours to maintain status as a supervisor or worker in Maine. Changes in state regulations andwork practices are discussed, along with a general review of the health effects and OSHA standards.

RENOVATION, REPAIR, AND PAINT (RRP) (8 HOURS)

New designation under the US EPA. General contractors, carpenters, painters and others are trained in RRP rules which go into effect in April, 2010. The participants are trained in the health effects and work practices associated with lead.
